Basic Information about Koh Lipe
Koh Lipe is a small island located at the Southern-most part of Thailand. Koh Lipe is part of the Adang-Rawi Archipelago and Tarutao National Park. It is the only inhabited island among the cluster of other islands.
The most suitable time to travel to Koh Lipe is between November to May when the boat trips are at their maximum frequency and also when the National Park area is accessible for snorkelling. In order to preserve the marine ecology, the government sets a period of time which is July to mid October as low season. During this period, there will be no ferry departure from Langkawi to Koh Lipe, and the frequency of speedboat service depart from Pak Bara to Koh Lipe will also decrease. In the meantime, National Park will also be closed from snorkelling access (mid May - mid October yearly).
The Thai Government set this period as low season. There is no immigration support at Koh Lipe for handling the immigration procedure for visitors coming from Langkawi.

Last year the rainy season was surprisingly prolonged until November and December, and these two months are actually the peak season in Koh Lipe. Therefore, there are no direct connections between peak season and rainy season.
